Analysis and retraining of upper limb function after stroke

We look forward to interacting with you to help achieve the StrokeEd vision which is that “physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other rehabilitation professionals have the skills, knowledge, confidence and competence to routinely deliver evidence-based rehabilitation” and that “all stroke survivors receive prompt, evidence-based rehabilitation”

You will shortly receive an email to set your password and an order confirmation which also serves as a tax invoice or receipt of payment if needed.
You will need to set this password or you may not be able to login to the course in June.

After setting your password, you will be logged out and will need to log in again with your new password.

Dates
The MOOC will run from:
Monday 2nd of June to Friday 4th of July 2025.
The content will be able to be accessed until the 20th July, there will be no extension of access to the content after this date, the MOOC will run again in 2026.

What happens next?
During the month of May we will send you some emails with pre-reading and a link to the UL MOOC Facebook group.

How will the MOOC run?
Each week you will receive an email summarising the tasks for that week. Generally the tasks will involve 3-4 hours of independent online learning and an interactive component that we will run through a StrokeEd Facebook group.

Facebook interaction
You will be able to sign up to this Facebook group before the MOOC begins. If you do not use Facebook you will miss the interactive components of the MOOC but you are still able to complete the online learning content.

Communication
Communication from StrokeEd will be via email and through the Facebook group

Live interaction
We will have two live online Q and A sessions:
Wed 18th June (Week 2), 6pm SYDNEY time.
Wed 2nd July (Week 5), 6pm SYDNEY time.
We will send information about how to access these sessions in Week 1.
These sessions will be recorded and accessible until the closure of the MOOC

Translation into languages other than English
We have included a translation service that allows translation of the text-based online learning content into languages other than English using Google Translate. You can find the language selector in the top-left corner of the StrokeEd website. All recorded content (lectures and assessment and therapy sessions) have been translated into: Spanish, Arabic, Portugese, French and Chinese (Traditional). The recorded is on Youtube which can be used to translate captions into many languages.
