Description: In this presentation, recommendations will be highlighted that are most relevant to rehabilitation occupational therapists and physiotherapists, and implications for practice change. The presenters were both actively involved as discipline leads in the UK & Ireland 2023 guidelines. Comparisons will be made with the 2017 Australian and NZ guideline recommendations.
Learning objectives: By the end of the presentation, attendees will be able to:
- Find and use relevant international stroke guidelines
- Compare guideline recommendations across countries
- Understand the reasons for differences between guideline recommendations
- Reflect on changes which may be required in their own practice, and their health service to either increase or decrease routine use of particular interventions
